Social Media Lab in Peoria

By Mitch

Carol and I spoke today at the Peoria HBA, teaching Social Media “Engage in the Online Conversation” and Social Media Lab “Building a Social Media Program from the ground up.”

This seminar teaches companies how to effectively use social media to attract the search engines, as well as friends, fans and followers.  We spent a lot of time today talking about the value of social media and demonstrating how to use social media to build brand, generate leads and increase sales…and best of all, track and monitor return on investment.

Blogs and blogging started the day, and we showed how to define your audience and target, build an effective blog and use that blog as the foundation of your program.  We then discussed Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and the effective use of those sites to drive traffic.  We see a lot of companies and ‘experts’ building programs that use these sites, but very few can show direct results in a tracking report.  We can and do every day.  As a true social media agency, let me know if we can help you build an effective program.
